Another year has gone by and a new one just began, so it’s time to say thank you again. Thank you, for all you who have been visiting Elevenfour, downloaded styles and plugins, viewing and linking photos on Instagram, Videos on YouTube and more. And thank you to all of you who expressed their trust by signing up for/ subscribing to Elevenfour.
This year however is the first year that I cannot share data on how Elevenfour grew because I decided to remove Matomo (formerly known as Piwik). I didn’t want to remove it but there were some reasons that made me think that it might be the best way for now.
Can we just skip that? No?
Ok, as I said last year I didn’t want to put too much pressure on it, the result being that I published exactly one video yesterday – a look back at 2018’s photos from my Instagram profile. But I’ve worked on some of the ideas I’ve had, when I talked about it last year. So it’s kind of: yes and nope. I don’t know. Neutral? ➡️
Upgrade to WoltLab Suite 3.1
As you may have seen, already: I’ve past this one. Elevenfour was successfully upgraded to WoltLab Suite 3.1 (and there’s nothing more to say about that, so: Next, please. 😀) ✅
Looking at last year’s post, I realised that I only set two goals for 2018 and did not set any goal for new styles for WoltLab Suite. That might have been a good idea: I realised to new styles for WoltLab Suite 3.1 and all styles which were available for 3.0 have been upgraded to be compatible for 3.1.
Themes for WordPress
In November I started coding the theme Gwendolyn and I’m happy to say, that it’s almost completed. There’s only some final polish left to do.
If you like to get some impressions of the theme you might want to check out Status Update #2 and Status Update #3.
In December I started working on the next theme for Elevenfour, code named Yosemite.
Goals For 2019
Gwendolyn and Yosemite should fe finalized s that Elevenfour’s WordPress Area gets a new look.
Side note: It’s not very likely that Camelot will be released.
New Design for Elevenfour
Elevenfour’s main page will also get a new look – I’m not telling more now. Maybe I’ll say something later or maybe I’ll just hit the release button. We’ll see.
Again: no pressure, it didn’t work out for 2018, maybe it’ll do in 2019. But I’d really like to see the idea I have come alive. So keep fingers crossed. 🤞
Plugins for WoltLab Suite
The plan is to release at least two plugins for WoltLab Suite 3.1. If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen which. If not, I’ll link the tweet for you. If it was possible technically they should also be released for WoltLab Suite 3.0.
Styles for WoltLab Suite
This is not a goal for 2019, I just want to leave some thoughts on this topic for you to read. At this very moment it’s not very likely that there might be new styles. Maybe I’ll change my mind if there’ll be some remarkable request for it.
But I do plan to update some styles (not all of them) with some settings to improve readability. More on that later this year.
Ok, that’s it.
If you made it down here: thank you for reading. I’m wishing you all the best for 2019. Have a fantastic new year. 🎆
