Since I didn’t write about what’s going on for quite some time now I think it’s time to give you some information about what’s going on. (I should get an award for using “time”.)
Let’s start with the most current thing: At this time I’m working on a brandnew style for WoltLab Suite 3.0. It’s called Clay. It’s a dark style with turquoise accent colors. The background image of this style is repeated in a blurry style with different color overlays in tabular boxes and message sidebars.
As always you can see the current status on the Up Next page. I updated it just today and also cleaned up some things. Please remember: this page isn’t “live” so it’s sometimes not 100% accurate. I will also post a statement on which styles will be “converted” from WoltLab Suite 2.1 to 3.0 in the Journal of Elevenfour some time in the near future.
Before I started to work on Clay I released the first version of Flavius – a dark style family based on the idea of the famous X-Style, coming in blue, green and pink.
At the End of July I upgraded Elevenfour – now WoltLab Suite 3.0 powers the main site. The major difference, apart from new techniques, is that Elevenfour doesn’t have a classic Filebase anymore. If you want to install any package you’ll do that right from your ACP. So no more downloads and uploads – welcome to 2017. If you’d like to get more information on that topic you should read the article on how the installation process works.
Ok, What’s next?
Regarding the styles the next style will either be Vespasian or the new style family which is still called “Default”. Though I do not know when I will find some time for creating those styles and if I would release them for WoltLab Suite 3.0 or 3.1. The development pace of WoltLab is really fast now so it’s a bit harder for me to keep up with them.
Thanks for reading and as always: If you have any questions or comments, please post them below. 👍
